February 1, 2010 Links and Plugs

It's been an interesting weekend but unfortunately, I don't get a penny for every news item that I report. (And it's been an interesting week overall, considering the other developments...)

The most urgent news is R.I.P. Kage Baker.

The other, in light of Amazon's war on Pan Macmillan, is that the former may actually be capitulating to the latter (but so far the "buy now" button hasn't been restored yet).

Thanks for the link, Charles, but I can't take credit for that interview. That was conducted by Maja Branovački, who posts interviews on occasion at the OF Blog under the screen name of Lotesse.

I heard this morning they had struck a deal and Macmillan's eBooks will be offered at a higher price. Haven't checked the Buy Now buttons though.
